Movies to Expect in 2021

With all the things getting back on track, slowly, the cinema is too getting back in the usual releases. We all waited long enough to consume cinema in the way it is intended to consume: through the movie theatres. The following are the movies that are worth going for:

Matrix 4 (Sci-Fi)

Nearly after 18 years, we are getting the fourth installment of the Matrix series with the addition of Priyanka Chopra in the cast with the long-haired Keanu Reeves. Here one can expect to see the further adventures of Neo & Trinity with all the smooth action and the commentary on the modern world with heavy metaphors. We cross our fingers and expect that The Matrix brings the best for our ‘Chosen One’.

No Time To Die (Thriller, Action)

This could be a sad movie for many, as it would be the last movie in which we will see Daniel Craig in his iconic role as 007. But this installment will give us Rami Malik as the nemesis of Bond. Malik will portray the most dangerous nemesis that Bond ever had. We can expect Malik to awe us with his acting as he did in ‘Mr. Robot’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

Sherlock Holmes 3 (Mystery, Action)

After the death of Tony Stark, we saw our beloved RDJ in ‘Dr. Dolittle’ in which many were disappointed by the story and the concept of the film. However, he is said to be back to complete the trilogy of the cinematic Sherlock Holmes. In which we can expect to further witness the witty and chair gripping adventures of Mr. Holmes along with Watson in the usual panache of RDJ.

Minions: The Rise of Gru (Animated)

Ever wondered how a supervillain is made? Who later mends his ways in order to raise his adopted daughter. Well, the second installment of the 2015 Minions will answer as the name suggests. One can expect the same exotic accent of Gru and the ‘Minion language’ throughout the movie with the innocent faces of young Gru and Minions with braces.

Morbius (Horror)

After the 2016’s ‘Suicide Squad,’ we found Jared Leto as the ‘Joker’ very disappointing with the over the top effort to make the ‘Joker’ be ‘cyberpunk’. However, Leto has changed his universes, from DC to Marvel to play as the living vampire: Morbius. Morbius suffers from a rare blood disease and in the process to heal himself an experiment goes wrong. This tragedy makes him a Vampire. Hopefully, the Oscar winner can satisfy us this time.

Cherry (Crime, Dark)

Who would have thought Tom Holland would be doing unconventional dark cinema when we first saw him as Spider-Man in 2016’s ‘Civil War’? But here we are with his crime-thriller: Cherry. Here we see an unprivileged man who loses the love of his life because of his wrong decisions in his life. We can expect a great screenplay from this dark story concept and phenomenal acting by Tom Holland as we received in the Netflix original: ‘The Devil All the Time’.

Dune (Sci-Fi)

Sci-Fi fans can be excited as the cult classic novel by Frank Herbert: Dune released in 1965 is going to be adapted as a two-part cinematic masterpiece under the same name, in which the first movie covers the first half of the book and the rest in the second installment. The premise of the novel is set in the near future where Duke Leto Atreides accepts to supervise the dangerous desert planet: Arrakis which is also known as Dune. Dune is the only source of a valuable drug that extends human life and many other possibilities.

Tom & Jerry (Animated-Comedy)

Put on your nostalgia glasses as the Tom & Jerry movie is released in 2021. With this bitter-sweet relationship of the iconic duo, we will be seeing a change in the backdrop of an American town to a big metropolitan city. Here these enemy-friends will be progressing their story, that too in a hotel.

Death on the Nile (Mystery-Crime)

After the success of 2017’s Agatha Christie’s: ‘The murder on the Orient Express’. The same director is back with the second adaptation of Agatha Christie’s iconic novel: ‘The Death on the Nile’. In this, Poirot will be doing what he is best at: to solve the murder mystery. It is always amazing to see a brilliant adaptation of literature.

The King’s Man (Action)

Let us now see the franchise of the ‘Kingsmen’. Kingsmen serve us the smooth action and the swagger of British secret agents. Here in this movie, we will be treated to a prequel to the current Kingsmen movies with the same lead: Taron Egerton. Here we will be able to witness one man’s race against time to stop history’s worst tyrants and the criminal masterminds.

All the above movies are really stirring people with all the excitement. We hoping and we all can enjoy them in the way they are intended.
