OnePlus at its launch event on 26th had several new products announcements. Every year, it comes up with a flagship killer Mobile Phone, but this time it was a bit more.
The company is all set to enter new markets with the announcement of OnePlus TV.
New Products announced:
- OnePlus 7T
- OnePlus Pay
- OnePlus TV
- OnePlus Care
The brand comes up with a “T” version of every recent series with slightly better specs and hardware. This time Oneplus 7T has several improvements over the previously announced OnePlus 7. The new device inherited several features of the Oneplus 7 Pro like 90 Hz display refresh rate and 12MP Ultra-wide lens. Obviously the processor is the latest one from Qualcomm that is the Snapdragon 855+ with 8GB RAM. The charging is faster with 30W WARP charge. The device comes with android 10 preinstalled, of which the company claims to be the first in the market. It has a new Circular rear camera module sporting 3 lenses: 48 MP primary lens, 16 MP Ultra-wide, and 12 MP telephoto lens. The front panel is the same as the teardrop notch as in OnePlus 7. All the other things are same like previously announced Oneplus 7 series with UFS 3.0 fast storage, no wireless charging, no IP rating, and others.
Unlike OnePlus 7, this one will be available in US markets. This is an important device for the company and for the people as it closes the gap between the features of Oneplus 7 and the pro variant which people missed like 90Hz display in a lower price segment. Well, now people who prefer flat screen and have no problem with the small notch can go for the device without compromising any features as OnePlus 7 pro has huge curves of which many people are not a fan of. The company is not going for Wireless charging till now when all the flagships have it, is disappointing. But still, it’s a good value for money premium phone.
The price for 128 GB model will be Rs 37,999 while the 256 GB model will be of Rs 39,999.
Key Hardware Specs:
- 6.55″ Fluid Amoled display; 90Hz display refresh rate
- Snapdragon 855+; 8GB RAM
- 3800 mAh battery, 30W WARP charge
- 48MP + 12MP + 16 MP rear camera with slow-motion up to 960fps at 720p
- 16 MP front camera
This was highly anticipated device these days and now its here. The company has focused on its design and beauty all way round. Its a premium smart TV with all the features of the current in the market and several new. The things worth noting in this particular TV is its remote. It has very few buttons with type C charging instead of the traditional AAA battery. It’s all smart, with google assistant, few touch controls and OnePlus connects. With OnePlus connect you can control all the TV with your smartphone, including streaming Youtube, Netflix, and other streaming services, opening apps, searching directly on your TV. Its design is worth noting with a very good design built on its back which many TV manufacturers don’t execute. It has no ports or wires visible at the back, with all covered in a magnetic cover. Thin bezels, OnePlus customized QLED as they say it “secret” tech to enhance picture quality over standard QLED. It has two variants Q1 and Q1 pro. The Pro variant has a sliding soundbar which comes out when the TV turns on featuring 8 speakers and 50W output. It will be featuring Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio Technology. The Q1 model will be retailed at Rs 69,900 while the pro variant will be available for Rs 99,900.
The company told to be working on this for some time and will release this feature to mobile devices next year. Although the launch didn’t have much info on this and only a line that it can help you get rid of a physical wallet, it seems like a service similar to Samsung Pay where user can easily pay at shops with card machines by just tapping with the back of the phone and pay with NFC. You need to save your card details on the phone beforehand, making payments much easier.
It’s the new customer support with paid service to OnePlus users on a subscription basis where they will be covered with product damages, extended warranty, and other plans. It is in partnership with Servify.
